In every travel, you meet people – old and new. There is your CCF sister who has kept in touch since your fellowship launch. ❤️
There is the pastor who caught your attention from the start of his preaching and sustained what made you listen intently in the first place throughout his preaching even if it mainly talked about fathers. 🙏 You agreed to the stats and studies researched and discussed. Coincidentally, you had seen this pastor the night before in the hotel lobby, typing on his laptop, unaware he was a pastor at that time.
There is his wife to whom you introduced yourselves and you guys ended up exchanging insights about how important the role of the wife is in making it easy for the husband’s purpose to materialize. 🌸 There are your instant coffee sisters who shared their travel tips and experiences abroad. ☕️
There’s also the traveler who never became your student when you were in a different field and with whom you’ve never hung out in person, yet you trust his travel advice. 🍃
And then, there’s the friend of your CCF sister, who freely offered welcome hugs (we love sincere and welcoming hugs 🤗 by the way!).
There’s the receptionist who walked you to the bank across the street to help you exchange your torn 1000 yen note. Some people would go the extra mile, whether or not they receive anything in return. ❤️ Some would even volunteer to take your photos.
And, of course, there’s the husband, who crossed Shibuya Crossing with you countless times, directed you to walk and do your ikot dance as he took photos and videos. ❤️
Different kinds of people, each carrying different versions of themselves. You only get to meet a version or two or sometimes when you’re ‘fortunate’ enough, even more.
Then, you also meet yourself – far more different than when you first stepped foot on such a journey. Stronger? Yes. Lighter? Almost. More grateful? More appreciative? Yes! Yes! More aware of what truly makes her happy? Yes! Calmer? Gotta declare it so yes! 😅 Needs more improvement? Oh yes! Working on it. Investing in and sticking to who and what makes her feel truly loved? Hundred percent YES! ❤️
