Two months with Lucas and somehow this beautiful, little human seems to be officially running our household. 💕😅

Here’s a list of what makes him ‘him’ at two months old:

  • Quietly roams his eyes around when Dad and Mom are ‘maritess-ing’ 👀
  • Looks at Mom while being fed with that ‘you can’t read my mind, Mom’ look
  • Curiously stares at Mom after feeding as if he’s sooo amazed by what he’s seeing 😅😍
  • Listens (with no choice 😅) to every song or lullaby under the sun produced by Dad and Mom
  • Moves or opens his eyes when hearing his name (when in the mood 😅)
  • Stares long at Dad’s jerseys whenever he wears them at home. (Could this be a sign? 🏀⛹️‍♂️)
  • Responds with a smile to “yohoo!” despite being called so many names by Mom (babi, babiboo, babiboomboom, babe.. name it!)
  • Sleeps on Dad’s shoulder during burping time
  • Shows off his stronger neck these days 💪
  • Makes the most adorable little sounds
  • Holds eye contact with Dad during face-to-face moments
  • Gives the most satisfying “poop done” look: eyes wide open and roams around, mouth forms a round ‘O’ shape as if he’s whistling and nothing ever happened 😅
  • Gives that ‘kilig’ look whenever he is being handed to Mom’s arms because feeding time
  • Stiffens his body and flares his nostrils as if he’s doing a Superman pose when changing clothes just because he doesn’t want to yet 😅😂
  • Closes his eyes for several minutes after feeding time (his quick pre-feeding cry and post-feeding grunts included). Then, he suddenly opens his eyes, looks my way and smiles as if he planned the whole scene perfectly. 👏😅😂

What a privilege it is to get to know you little by little, our baby. The habits, expressions and funny moments that make us laugh, melt our hearts and remind us that these are the tiny details we’ll miss when you grow older. 🥹

May your sleep be peaceful, your dreams be gentle and your little world always feel safe, warm and loved. We lalala-love you so much! 💕

Thank You, God, everyday for the life of our baby. 🙏

“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.”

Psalm 127:3
