hotel in tokyo

I always had a feeling that this hotel in Tokyo would not disappoint. I initially thought they only had a branch in the Philippines, but to my surprise, Hop Inn Hotel also had one in Asakusa, Tokyo. Thanks to Ivan de Guzman’s YouTube review, I didn’t hesitate to book right away. Spending a week at this hotel turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip. From cozy accommodations to exceptional service, here’s why it was worth every penny.

A Fresh and Cozy Stay

The hotel looked new and it was immediately noticeable how clean and airy the space felt. The large windows in the room made it feel even more open and allowed natural light to flood in. It wasn’t just about aesthetics. The room was spotless and everything felt well-maintained. After long days of exploring Tokyo, returning to such a comfortable space made all the difference.

Daily Freebies That Made a Difference

One of the highlights of staying at Hop Inn Hotel was the thoughtful selection of free amenities available in the lobby. Every day, guests could pick up bath salts, coffee, loofahs and even pajamas. These small but significant details added extra comfort to our stay. There’s something about ending the day with a relaxing bath enhanced by aromatic bath salts that makes a hotel stay feel special. We seriously felt clean and relaxed every night after a long day.

Perfect Location for Convenience

Being close to convenience stores and train stations was a game-changer. If you’ve ever traveled to Japan, you know that their convenience stores are a must-visit. We found ourselves stopping by every night to grab snacks before heading back to the hotel. The short walk to the train station also made commuting around the city effortless which saved our time and energy.

A Room With a View

One of the best perks of staying here was the option to request a Sensoji Temple view. If a room is available, their staff would gladly accommodate your request. We were lucky enough to get one and waking up to such an iconic view each morning made our stay even more memorable. The sight of the temple, especially at night when it was illuminated, was breathtaking.

Exceptional Customer Service

The hospitality at Hop Inn Hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff went the extra mile to assist guests and one particular experience stood out. When my husband needed to exchange a torn Japanese yen bill, a staff member personally accompanied him to a nearby bank to help with the process. It’s rare to find such dedication and this level of service truly made a lasting impression.

A Welcoming and Functional Lobby

The lobby was more than just a check-in area; it served as a convenient gathering space for travelers. Whether it was enjoying a cup of coffee before heading out, eating a quick snack before going up to the hotel room or even catching up on work, the atmosphere was inviting. I even spotted a pastor from CCF working on his preaching the night before a Sunday service where he was invited to speak. It was a reminder of how this space could be a hub for both relaxation and productivity.

If I ever visit Tokyo again, I wouldn’t think twice about booking Hop Inn Hotel. The combination of comfort, convenience and top-notch service made our stay truly enjoyable. For those looking for a clean and cozy hotel in Tokyo, this one is definitely worth considering. For more travel insights and recommendations, check out Mindful Traveling
